No new information here for those who have followed Myamoto’s storied career.  Nonetheless, a fascinating look into his mind and what makes him tick.  Undoubtedly part of a pre-3DS marketing push for Nintendo who has seen the combination of MSFT’s Kinect, Apple’s rise to prominence and the declining Wii sales figures dominate the video game conversation of the last year.

ANT is pleased by the focus on creating “unique” entertainment experiences.  NTDOY’s core competancy has always been inventing new hardware and pairing it with unique and charming software.  Maintaining this strategy over the coming hardware refresh cycle is the best strategy available to the company.  Hopefully they will begin to build out the online and in game revenue models as well.
